DESCRIPTION
Plate thickness planing is the machining of material
to the required thickness, creating a smooth surface
parallel to the opposite side of the plate.
The art of planing depends mainly on good judgment
of depth of cut in various situations. You must take
into account: width, hardness, moisture and flatness
of the board, orientation and structure of the fibers.
Experience will tell you how these factors can affect
the quality of work. Whenever you are working with
a new type of wood, or wood with unusual problems,
always make test cuts on the scrap material first
before working on the actual piece.

USE AND OPERATION
ASIST tools are intended for home or hobby use only.
The manufacturer and importer do not recommend
using this tool in extreme conditions and under heavy
loads.
Any other additional requirements must be the subject
of an agreement between the manufacturer and the
customer.
Mounting the planer on a wooden base
You can carry the planer using the handles on the
frame. When carrying the planer, make sure the table
extensions are folded. If the planer is not mounted
on some sort of stand or table, it is assumed to be
mounted on two pieces of lumber. This ensures
its maximum stability. Choose 2 pieces of wood
according to the dimension in Fig. B and mount the
planer to the wood. B1 - Mounting hole, B2 - Hole on
the base plate of the planer, B3 - M8 screw
Use the 4 long screws provided to mount the base
plate of the wood planer.
Cylinder for machined product
A cylinder is mounted on top of the planer, which is
used for convenient handling of the workpiece during
multiple planing. The workpiece, which is located on
top of the machine, can be slightly pulled towards the
operator.
