8. ASSEMBLY
Note : To fix the blades, place the motor block so that it is stable. Often, the polystyrene foam
used for motor packaging can make excellent support on your worktop.
1/ Assemble the blades with their supports using the screws and washers provided
(reversible blades, choose the finish you prefer). Caution, tighten the screws carefully to
avoid damaging the blades.
2/ Remove the screws and washers on the motor block used to attach the blades and
remove the small black plastic shims (will not be used later). Position each blade on the
motor and tighten the screws. Be sure to tighten properly to avoid excessive vibration during
start-up.
3 / Remove the cover under the ceiling fan by removing the 3 screws and washers. Take the
light kit and connect it to the ceiling fan connector. Once the connection is established,
position the light kit correctly on the ceiling fan and replace the 3 screws.
4/ Depending of the height of your ceiling, choose from the 2 supplied tubes, 5 or 10in. By
default, the black hanger ball is installed on the tube of 5in. If you want to use the 10in tube
(or the 35 or 47in extension tube sold as an option), loosen and remove the 2 screws from
the hanger ball, lower it to remove the pin, then remove the hanger ball. Install it on the new
tube by reversing the steps above, only 1 possible direction, the hanger ball is installed on
the side of the tube where there is a small hole provided for the security screw.
5/ Place the 2 canopies correctly on the tube, remove the pin then the spindle of the motor
block and loosen the 2 screws. Pass the wires and connectors inside the tube and collect
them on the other side of the tube ; hanger ball side (if necessary remove the hanger ball
and put it back after). Then position the tube correctly on the motor (only one possible
direction, black hanger ball towards the ceiling), put the spindle by passing it into the hole of
