− Use the document shredder only in indoor areas. Do not use the document
shredder in damp rooms or in the rain.
− Never place the document shredder so that it can fall into a bathtub or sink.
− Never pick up an electrical device that has fallen into water.
In this case, immediately remove the network plug.
− Do not place any objects in the case.
− Always switch off the document shredder and remove the network plug when not
in use, cleaning it or in the event of a breakdown.
− Do not let children use the document shredder. Keep children away from the paper
shredder and the power cord.
− Do not leave the document shredder unattended while in operation.
− Make sure children do not play with the plastic wrap. When playing, they can get
tangled up and suffocate.

Improper use of the document shredder can cause injury.
− Do not put your fingers in the slots.
− Keep long hair away from the slits.
− Keep ties, scarves, loose clothing and long necklaces or bracelets away from the
slits.
− Keep the aerosol slots away. You may damage the document shredder.
− Hold CDs only by the outer edge when placing them in the slot. Make sure your
fingers are not in the opening in the middle of the CD. It may cause injury when
inserting the CD.
− Regularly remove shredded paper and credit card and CD remnants with a suitable
tool (eg brush) from the underside of the cutting tool.
− Always switch off the document shredder and remove the network plug before
emptying the collecting containers.
− After removing the collecting vessels, remove the sharp and pointed elements
from the cutting tool. Act with caution.
− Position the electric cable so that it does not become a tripping trap.
− Only use the document shredder when it is completely and correctly assembled.
Never disassemble the document shredder for cleaning or storage.
