General features
SUPER-EGO tube benders for cold bending carbon
steel or galvanized steel tubes, with no need for
fillers or internal mandrels, of the following quality:
Carbon steel tubes EN 10255 Medium and Heavy Series
These tube benders can bend tubes to angles ranging
from 0º to 180º, and are able to bend tubes up to
90° directly, using several bending operations beyond
this angle. Angles may be on different planes.
The equipment is monoblock type, hand operated
and automatic retract, based on hydraulics.
Main features are:
• Maximum output:
• Maximum travel:
• Cylinder diameter:
• Pump piston diameter
• Oil to be used:
Commissioning and operation of the two-plate
tube bender
1. Fit the guide plates to the front flange and
secure them with the pins.
2. Fit the rollers to the lower plate, in the position
corresponding to the size of the tube to be
bent, placing at the same time the roller in
position as a function of the tube diameter.
3. Fit the former corresponding to the size of the
tube to be bent to the piston end, place the
tube and put down the upper plate to close the
assembly.
4. In case the tube to be bent is welded, place the
weld seam on the top or bottom part.
5. Prior to using the tube bender, purge the
hydraulic circuit as there may be air present in
the valve system. Open the retract valve and
pump several times with the lever.
6. Make sure the retract valve is well closed, and
the container plug open.
7. Then, operate the pump lever.
8. Once the bend is finished, release the retract
valve at the distributor side to retract the
piston.

Maintenance
Check oil level at regular intervals.
When topping up, filter the oil to prevent foreign
matter from entering the circuit. Check the oil by
lifting the front part of the bender about 45°, when
the oil must reach the oil filling hole.
After filling, place the bender in a slanted near vertical
position (piston pointing up), open the retract valve
and operate the pump lever until suction is properly
established. After a short time in this position with
the suction properly established, place the bender in
the horizontal working position.
In case oil needs replenishing, use 1st class oil for
hydraulic applications and never use brake fluid. Bear
in mind that excess oil will render the equipment
inoperative. Therefore, refill only about 85% of the
container capacity (1,000 cc), first removing the plug.
Close the container plug for transportation.
