FITTING
1.
Remove boot trim (3 push studs, and plastic hooks on each side, boot floor, and further 4 push studs. Unclip plastic
panel in front of boot to free carpet in order to access the rear of the light clusters).
2.
Remove light clusters (4 nuts at rear of each cluster and unclip plug).
3.
Remove Bumper (1 Nut, 2 plastic push studs and 1 bumper tip screw under each wheel arch, on rear panel in boot
undo 2 nuts, and remove plastic trim. Undo 2 Torx screws around heat shield, 2 Nuts on lower edge and finally Nuts
beneath light housing through access holes in rear panel. Pull bumper tabs outwards, slide bumper rearwards and
carefully remove reversing sensors (if fitted))
4.
Remove rear crash beam (4 nuts each side) and hand to customer.
5.
Cut vertical slit in foam seal, and insert Sidearms (E) into each chassis rail. Remove rubber caps, and insert Bolts at
(D). Note: It is essential to fully seal chassis openings to prevent any possible water ingress when the towbar
is fitted.
6.
Loosely attach cross Bar (A) to existing holes in rear panel using Bolts (G), and attach Cross Bar (A) to Side Arms(E)
using Bolts (H)
7.
Tighten all bolts starting with (G) then (D) and finally (H)
8.
Mount the Electrical Plate to tab on crossbar using Bolt (J), Note that if a flip-up electrical socket is required, the bumper
will need to be cut to accommodate the socket.
9.
Refitting of the bumper and trim is a reversal of removal.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X Towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
