Notices for the target group
These instructions are intended for experts who are skilled in dealing with water
installations, heating and electrical engineering as well as the operator of the heating
system and ventilation unit.
▶ Comply with all instructions of the system components.
▶ Observe the safety instructions and warnings.
▶ Follow national and regional regulations, technical regulations and guidelines.
Failure to comply with instructions may result in material damage and personal
injury, including danger to life.
Intended use
▶ Use the product only to control the heating and ventilation units.
All other use is considered unsuitable. We accept no liability for damage caused
through incorrect use.
Storage and transport
▶ Do not expose the K 40 RF to strongly varying environmental conditions (e.g.
temperature, humidity, etc.).

Protection against humidity
▶ To avoid condensation on water pipes: insulate cold water pipes.
▶ If the LAN cable is not inserted: put the protective cap on the LAN connection.
▶ Remove the K 40 RF during maintenance work.

Installation notices
▶ To ensure a connection can be established: make sure that the contacts on the
K 40 RF are clean.
▶ When installing the system in a wet room: mount the K 40 RF in a suitable
location (IPX0) using a wall mounting bracket (accessory).
