If the pump is installed within a system that has a limited number of start-ups the quantity of pumped air may be insufficient to maintain
the air cushion inside the tank. In this case, when the system isn't in use, the pump kicks into action. This continuous start/stop allows
for the suction of air and the restoration of the air cushion and consequently, allows the machine to work again.
CAUTION
Ensure that the point of connection to the system and the position of the tank are chosen based on the weight of the tank
when full of water and that this will not compromise the mechanical stability of either.
CAUTION
Ensure that the use of the pump complies with national and local regulations, especially when the system is connected to
the water network destined for human consumption.
CHAPTER 5
MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel. Use appropriate protective equipment in compliance with safety
standards. Health and safety regulations must be strictly observed.
CAUTION
Before carrying out any maintenance or repairs, disconnect the electricity supply to the pump and ensure that the pressure
inside the system is zero.
5.1 MODELS WITH INTERCHANGEABLE MEMBRANE
At least once a year check the tank and the installation. Check the precharge pressure, that the connections are watertight and for
visual signs of damage and/or traces of corrosion.
To check the precharge pressure turn off the pump and drain the water from the system until the system pressure returns to zero.
ATTENZIONE
If water leaks from the air valve when checking the precharge pressure this means that the membrane is faulty and needs
to be replaced.
• If the tank no longer maintains the
system pressure when the pump
stops and re-starts immediately
the precharge pressure needs to be
checked and reset to the correct value
5.2 MODELS WITH AIR PUMP
• At least once a year check the tank
and the installation. Check that all
connections are watertight and for
visual signs of damage and/or traces
of corrosion
• The tank and the pump don't require
specific maintenance

• To do this remove the cover over the
air valve, connect a compressor or
hand pump and reset the correct
precharge pressure taking care not to
exceed the maximum system pressure
• When replacing the pump you must
first drain the water from the tank up
to the 1⁄2" side opening and repeat the
operations detailed in the installation
section
• If the tank no longer maintains the
system pressure when the pump stops
you need to check if the pump sucks
air from the valve
• After having connected the
compressor or the pump replace the
air valve cover
• If it is not possible to reset the correct
precharge pressure value check the
integrity of the membrane and the air
valve seal
• If the pump is working proceed to
empty the water from the tank up
to the 1⁄2" side opening and repeat
installation
• If the system still does not work
contact an authorised assistance
centre
