Electrical Connection
2.1 Transducer Connection
Inductive transducers are connected by means of 5−wire circuits.
With transducers in 3-wire technology the sensing leads (gn + gy) not needed.
In this case the contacts 32a+c and 28a+c on the connector must be linked.
For cable lengths >50 m, one resistor with half the bridge resistance value
(BR/2) must be solder into the transducer in place of each feedback bridge. If
the transducers are calibrated in six−wire connection, the resistors must be
solder directly into the sensor circuit.

The required bridge supply voltage is 2.5 V (symmetrical about ground) as set
factory settings. It can be reduced to 1 V by switch S25.

The safety barriers SIO1 must be wired into the connecting lines for
transducers in EEx(1) design. In doing so, ensure that the bridge excitation
voltage is 1 V, and switch S29 is set to 0 position (circle not visible). See
chapter 5 for details.
