screw connection;
Outlet with 1½" thread at the reducer
(9) for connection of a 1"hose as
clamp connection (fixing with a hose
clamp).
Note that the particle size may
be max. 19 mm if the reducer
(Ø 19.3 mm) is used, otherwise
the reducer and hose can become

Adjustment of the float switch
The float switch (
it can be started up immediately.
In the case of stationary installation,
check regularly (no less then once every
three months) that the float switch is work-
ing.
The ON and OFF switching point of the
float switch can be adjusted by changing
the position of the float switch in the float
switch grating. Please check the following
points before start of operation.
•
The float switch must be attached so
that the switching point ON level and
the switching point OFF level can be
reached easily and with little expendi-
ture of energy. Check this by placing
the pump into a vessel filled with wa-
ter and lift the float switch carefully by
hand and then lower it again. In this
case, you can see whether the pump
switches on and off.
•
Also ensure that the separation dis-
tance between the float switch head
and the float switch latching mecha-
nism (
8) is not too small. In the
case of a separation distance which is
7) is adjusted so that
too small, trouble-free functioning can-
not be guaranteed.
•
During the adjustment of the float
switch, ensure that the float switch
does not contact the floor before the
pump switches off.
There is a risk of dry running if the
float switch cable is selected to be
too long
Operational start-up
• Check that the pump is standing
firmly on the bottom of the shaft
or hung up safely.
• Check whether the pressure line
has been attached correctly and
the unused pump outlet is fully
closed.
• Avoid that the pump runs dry.
Regularly check the function
of the float switch. In case of
non-observance or if the pump
runs dry, guarantee and liability
claims are invalidated.
• Check that the electrical con-
nection is 230 V ~50 Hz
• Check the proper status of the
electrical plug socket and make
sure that the plug socket is suf-
ficiently fused (at least 6 A, RCD
switch). Insert the pump plug
into the plug socket and the
pump is ready for operation.
• Make sure that moisture or wa-
ter never come in contact with
the mains connection. There is
a risk of electrocution.
