Detaching the tablet from the keyboard base
When detaching the tablet from the keyboard base while it is turned on, note the following points.
IMPORTANT
l Before detaching the tablet, confirm the following things.
- Save the necessary data.
- Close files you have opened from removable disks and network drives.
- Remove peripheral devices connecting to the tablet.
l Do not detach the tablet in the conditions below.
Ÿ When the SD Memory Card indicator is on.
Ÿ When playing/recording audio files or displaying motion video such as MPEG files.
Ÿ When using communication software or network functions.
NOTE
l Do not detach the tablet in the rain.
A Release the detach lock (A).
B Slide the release lever (B) in the direction of the arrow.
The detach indicator (C) will turn from black ( ) to orange (
IMPORTANT
l After step B, you cannot stop detaching the tablet. Detach the tablet once.
C Detach the tablet from the keyboard base.

l When detaching the tablet from the keyboard base, hold the position at the locations
dashed line circled in the illustration.
l Attach/detach the tablet on a flat location.
l While holding the keyboard base with hand, attach/detach the tablet.
