Instructions for use
1. Inserting the batteries
The electric mill is operated by six recharge-
able NiMH AAA 1.2 V batteries (included in
the scope of delivery).
In order to access the battery compartment
(4), you must remove the casing (2). Hold the
mill at the bottom and push both of the silver
buttons at the same time.
The casing can then easily be pulled up and
off with your other hand. Remove the battery
compartment by gently shaking the ground
material container (8) and pull it up and off.
Insert the batteries into the battery compart-
ment according to the polarities.
2. Filling with spices and assembling
the pieces
Fill the desired spice through the opening
in the container (8). Please fill the mill to a
maximum of the bottom edge of the inner
ring (see „MAX FILL" marking). Ensure that
there are no spices and residual ground
material on the inner surface of the mill
casing. The motor casing (5) can only be
attached in one position. Insert the grinding
rod (7) into the connector (6) on the base of
the motor casing. Turn until the arrow on the
motor casing and the arrow on the mill casing
are facing each other. Then push the motor
casing down. Attach the casing (2) with light
pressure. Ensure that both contact pins are on
top of one another.
Your mill is now ready for operation. To grind,
hold down the on/off button (1). The light
switches on automatically when you grind.
3. Adjusting the grinding setting
Turn the mill upside down. In the base of
the mill there is a screw. Turn this clockwise
for fine grinding, anticlockwise for coarse
grinding.
4. Recharging the batteriess
Set the mill in the charging station (11) so
that it is in the correct charging position
(the charging contacts must be on top of
one another). Connect the mains cable (12)
to the charging station (11). Then connect
the mains cable (12) to the energy source.
The LED on the charging station will now turn
red. The LED will turn green once the batteries
are charged. Before the first use, ensure that
the batteries are fully charged, i.e. the LED
on the charging station turned green.
For quick use, the mill can be stored in the
connected charging station.
Only use the supplied batteries.
Should the performance decline, replace all
six batteries at the same time with the same
type of rechargeable batteries. Do not use
non-rechargeable batteries to operate the
mill.
5. Replacing the LED
Turn the mill upside down and carefully pull
the LED out of the socket with your thumb
and index finger.
6. Safe usage and care instructions
Due to their various degrees of hardness
and their capacity to absorb humidity,
grains of salt can block the grinder.
The same applies for particularly large and
hard peppercorns. In this case, turn the mill
upside down, press the on/off button and
gently shake the mill while doing so. This may
loosen the grist that has become stuck in the
mill. To prevent this, it helps to occasionally
shake the mill during use.
To clean, wipe the outside of the mill with
a damp cloth. Never immerse in water.
