Before using the appliance, the user must
read the following instructions carefully.
Connection to the mains supply
Th e appliance should only be connected to an
earthed socket installed in accordance with
the regulations.
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds
with the voltage marked on the rating label.
Th is product complies with all binding CE
labelling directives.
Important safety instructions
Warning: the exterior surfaces of
the appliance become very hot
during operation. Exercise great
care to avoid burns.
Do not touch any hot parts of the
appliance; use the handle only.
Unpack the appliance completely and
remove any protective foils etc.
Before the appliance is used, the main body
as well as any attachment fi tted should
be checked thoroughly for any defects.
Should the appliance, for instance, have
been dropped onto a hard surface, it must
not be used any longer: even invisible
damage may have adverse eff ects on the
operational safety of the appliance.
Place the appliance on a heat-resistant
surface clear of any obstructions. Do not
position or operate the appliance close
to or underneath any wall-cupboards or
hanging objects such as curtains or other
infl ammable materials; do not use the
appliance outdoors.
Do not leave the appliance unattended
while it is switched on or still hot.
To prevent damage to the housing, do not
place or operate the appliance on or near
hot surfaces (e.g. stove plates) or open
fl ames.
Th e power cord must be kept well away

from any hot parts of the appliance.
Th e power cord should be regularly
examined for any signs of damage. In the
event of such damage being found, the
appliance must no longer be used.
Always remove the plug from the wall
socket

When removing the plug from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the plug itself. Do not let the
power cord hang free.
To prevent damage to the power cord,
never twist, kink or pull on the cord during
use, or when the appliance is stored.
Th e appliance is not intended to be
operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
Th is appliance is not intended for use
by any person (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lacking experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
Th is appliance may only be used by
children (at least 8 years of age) provided
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the
appliance and fully understand all dangers
and safety precautions involved. Th e same
applies to persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking
experience and knowledge. Children must
not be permitted to carry out any cleaning
or maintenance work on the appliance.
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
Caution: Keep any packaging materials
well away from children, as they are
a potential source of danger e.g. from
suff ocation.
Children under 8 years of age must be
kept well away from the appliance and its
power cord while connected to the mains,
