Spark plug:
Operating mode S1 (continuous operation)
The machine can be continuously operated with the
quoted power output.
Operating mode S2 (temporary operation)
The machine may be temporarily operated with the
quoted power output. Afterwards the machine must
be stopped for a while to prevent it from overheating.
5. Before putting the machine into
operation
5.1 Assembly
5.1.1 Fitting the wheels (Fig. 6)
Secure the mounting for the wheels (Item 19) to the
frame of the generator using the 2 screws (Item 26), 2
bent washers (Item 23) and 2 M6 nuts (Item 27). Then
plug the wheels (Item 18) onto the mounting and
secure each wheel with an M10 washer (Item 28) and
an M10 nut (Item 29). Make sure that the heavily
curved sides of the wheels face the frame or the
wheels will rub against the frame.
5.1.2 Fitting the feet (Fig. 7)
Hold the foot (Item 21) against the frame as shown in
Figure 7. First place the screw (Item 25) through a
bent washer (Item 23), then through the hole in the
frame and the hole in the foot (Item 21) and secure it
with a nut (Item 27).
5.1.3 Fitting the push bar (Fig. 8/9)
First place the screw (Item 24) through a bent washer
(Item 23), then through the hole in the frame and the
hole in the push bar holder (Item 20) and secure it
with a nut (Item 27).
Insert the push bar (Item 22) into the two guides in the
push bar holder (Item 20) and then secure it with a
screw (Item 24), a nut (Item 27) as shown in Figure 9.
5.2 Electrical safety:
Electric supply cables and connected equipment
must be in perfect condition.
The generator is to be operated only with
equipment whose voltage specifications conform
with the generator's output voltage.
Never connect the generator to the power supply
G1
(socket-outlet).
Keep the cable length to the consumer as short
40°C
as possible.
1000 m
NGK; BPR5ES
5.3 Environmental protection
Dispose of soiled maintenance material and
operating materials at the appropriate collection
point.
Recycle packaging material, metal and plastics.
5.4 Connecting to earth
The housing is allowed to be connected to earth in
order to discharge static electricity. To do this,
connect one end of a cable to the earth connection
on the generator (Fig. 3/7) and the other end to an
external earth (for example an earthing rod).
Important! You must fill up with engine oil and fuel
before you can start the engine.
Check the fuel level and top it up if necessary
Make sure that the generator has sufficient
ventilation
Make sure that the ignition cable is secured to
the spark plug
Inspect the immediate vicinity of the generator
Disconnect any electrical equipment which may
already be connected to the generator
6. Operation
6.1 Starting the engine
Open the petrol cock (Fig. 2/Item 16) by turning it
down
Set the ON/OFF switch (Fig. 1/Item 14) to the
"ON" position
Move the choke lever (Fig. 2/ Item 15) to position I
Ø I.
Start the engine with the reversing starter (Fig.
2/Item 17), by pulling forcefully on the handle. If
the engine does not start, pull the handle again.
Important. Always pull the starter cable slowly
until you feel the initial resistance before you then
pull it quickly to start the engine. Do not allow the
starter cable to whip back of its own accord.
Push the choke lever (Fig. 2/Item 15) back after
the engine has started.
Important!
When starting with the reserve starter, the motor may
recoil suddenly as it starts up, resulting in hand
injuries. Wear protective gloves when starting the
equipment.
