Precautions
When Car Washing
Do not expose the LCD monitor to water or
excessive moisture. This could cause elec-
trical shorts, fire or other damage.
When Parked
Parking in direct sunlight can produce very
high temperatures inside your car. Let the
interior of the car cool down before switch-
ing the unit on.
Do not watch the LCD monitor with the
engine off. It will consume battery power
and may prevent the engine from starting.
Use Panasonic Technical Support
Do not attempt to disassemble or adjust this
precision product. Contact Panasonic Techni-
cal Support.
For Installation
Be sure to install the LCD monitor in a po-
sition that does not obstruct the driver's vi-
sion.
If the LCD monitor has been installed for
the rear seat passengers, they must be care-
ful to prevent injury by hitting their heads
on the LCD monitor in case of an accident.
Do not expose the LCD monitor to direct
sunlight or excessive heat.
Be sure not to install the LCD monitor in a
location at which it is exposed to water, hot
air such as near heater duct, or where it may
stepped on.
Do not install the LCD monitor in an area
where it would obstruct the operation of an
air bag.
Ask a trained technician to install the unit.
Installation and wiring require training and
experience.
To be safe, ask the sales outlet where you
purchased the unit to perform the installa-
tion.
When Operating
Make sure the LCD monitor is firmly secured
and protected from strong impact, because this
may cause a malfunction or possible fire.
If a Malfunction Occurs, Immediately
Unplug the Car Plug.
• This product is damaged
• Foreign object inside this product
• Smoke emitted
• Unusual smell emitted
• Unusually hot
Continuing to use this product while any of
the above conditions are present may result in
fire or electric shock.
• If a malfunction occurs, immediately unplug
the car plug. Then contact your technical sup-
port office.
Do Not Place Containers of Liquid or
Metal Objects on Top of This Product.
If water or other liquid spills, or if paper clips,
coins, or foreign matter get inside the computer
this product, fire or electric shock may result.
• If foreign matter has found its way inside,
immediately unplug the car plug. Then con-
tact your technical support office.
Do Not Disassemble This Product.
There are high-voltage areas inside which may
give you an electric shock if you should touch
them. Do not touch the pins and circuit boards
inside, and do not allow foreign matter to en-
ter inside.
Also, remodeling or disassembly may cause a
fire.
Do Not Install This Product in Unstable
State.
If balance is lost, this product may fall over or
drop, resulting in an injury.
Avoid a Lot of Water, Moisture, Steam,
Dust, Oily Vapors, etc.
Otherwise, possibly resulting in fire or electric
shock.
Use Only the Specified Car Adaptor
With This Product.
Using a car adaptor other than the one supplied
(supplied by Panasonic) may result in a fire.
Take a Break Of 10-15 Minutes Every
Hour.
Using this product for long periods of time may
have detrimental health effects on the eyes or
hands.
