INSTALLING A SMALL GAS CYLINDER
1.
Make sure burner control knob is turned OFF by pushing it
in and turning it clockwise to the OFF position.
2. While holding carrying handle closest to the 1-lb gas
cylinder with one hand, push propane cylinder into
regulator and turn clockwise until tight.
3. For optimum performance, allow cylinder to hang
vertically off the edge of the table or sits stable on a table
(clean, level surface) where there is no danger of being
bumped or disturbed. Note proper positioning shown.
The cylinder angle to the horizontal plane should not be
less than 35 degrees.
4. Gas cylinder is now installed.
INSTALLING A LARGE GAS CYLINDER
1.
Make sure burner control knob is turned OFF by pushing it
in and turning it clockwise to the OFF position.
2. Make sure the gas cylinder valve is in the CLOSED position.
Place the gas cylinder next to the griddle on the right side,
keeping a clearance of 305 mm (12 inches) between the
grill and gas cylinder. Ensure the regulator hosing is clear
of any obstructions and does not cause a tipping hazard.
Make sure the gas cylinder valve is in the CLOSED position.
It is important to ensure the gas cylinder is completely
upright, it is unsafe to operate the grill if the gas cylinder
is not properly level or on a stable suface.
3. Check the gas cylinder to assure it has proper external
male threads (type 1 connection per ANS Z21.81). Insert
the gas cylinder valve into the threaded opening of the
valve end of the propane adapter hosing. Turn the quick
coupling nut clockwise until firm. Hand-tighten only. A
minimum clearance of 305 mm (12 inches) from the gas
cylinder to the side of the grill must be maintained.
4. Gas cylinder is now installed.
NOTE: Keep the fuel supply hose away from any heated surface.
The outdoor grill, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local codes
with the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70, or Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.1.
1.
Do not store a spare LP gas tank under or near this appliance.
2. Never fill the tank beyond 80 percent full.
3. If the information in 1) and 2) is not followed exactly a fire causing death or serious injury may occur.
4. Place dust cap on cylinder valve outlet whenever the cylinder is not in use. Only install the type of dust cap on the cylinder
valve outlet that is provided with the cylinder valve. Other types of caps or plugs may result in leakage of propane.
5. The LP gas cylinder used must have a collar to protect the gas cylinder valve.
