7.2 Transporting the coolbox
You can use the carry handle [5] to transport the coolbox.
7.3 Switching the coolbox on and off
WARNING! Make sure that your vehicle has a 12 V
battery. Never operate the coolbox on 24 V vehicle power.
Remove the connection cable with the cigarette lighter plug [1] from the cable box [3]. Unwind the
connection cable completely. Set the operating mode selector switch [4] to "COLD" to keep food
cold or "HOT" to keep it warm. Then connect the cigarette lighter plug [1] to a suitable cigarette
lighter socket in your vehicle. The coolbox is now switched on. To switch the coolbox off, disconnect
the cigarette lighter plug [1] from the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.
The coolbox always works at full power. It can cool contents down to a maximum of 18 °C
cooler inside the box than the ambient temperature (for 23 °C ambient temperature). In keep-
warm mode, the maximum internal temperature is around 65 °C (for 23 °C ambient
temperature).
As the cigarette lighter sockets in some vehicles are still live even when the ignition is off, you
should disconnect the cigarette lighter plug [1] from the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle
when you leave the vehicle. Otherwise, the drain on your vehicle battery could be so high that
the engine will no longer start.
Do not use the coolbox in cooling mode if the ambient temperature is below 18 °C to prevent
the contents freezing.
7.4 Energy-saving tips
When in cooling mode, do not expose the coolbox to direct sunlight.
Always load with chilled food and drinks when in cool mode.
Do not open the coolbox for longer than necessary and close the lid [2] fully.
Make sure that air can circulate between the food. The coolbox can be loaded with a
maximum of 22 upright 330 ml drink cans (Ø 67 mm x H 115 mm).
