Prior to each use and before and after prolonged transport, check the product and the batteries for
damage.
Storage
WARNING
Accidental damage caused by defective or leaking batteries !
Always store your products with the batteries removed!
Store the product and the batteries in a cool and dry place. Comply with the temperature limits
stated in the technical data.
Do not store batteries on the charger. Always remove the battery from the charger when the
charging operation has completed.
Never leave batteries in direct sunlight, on sources of heat, or behind glass.
Store the product and batteries where they cannot be accessed by children or unauthorized
persons.

Troubleshooting
If the trouble you are experiencing is not listed in this table or you are unable to remedy the problem
by yourself, please contact Hilti Service.
The combihammer is in working order.
Trouble or fault
The battery runs down
more quickly than usual.
The battery doesn't engage
with an audible click.
The control switch can't be
pressed, i.e. the switch is
locked.
The drive spindle doesn't
rotate.
The combihammer switches
itself off automatically.
The combihammer or the
battery gets very hot.

Possible cause
Battery condition is not optimal.
The retaining lugs on the battery
are dirty.
The forward / reverse switch is in
the middle position.
The permissible operating tem-
perature of the combihammer's
electronics has been exceeded.
Battery is discharged.
The overload cut-out has been
activated.
Electrical fault.
The combihammer has been
overloaded (application limits
exceeded).
Action to be taken
Replace the battery.
Clean the retaining lugs and
refit the battery.
Push the forward / reverse
switch to the right or left.
Allow the combihammer to
cool down.
Change the battery and charge
the empty battery.
Release the control switch.
Allow the combihammer to
cool down. Press the control
switch again. Reduce the load
on the tool.
Switch the combihammer off
immediately. Remove the
battery and keep it under
observation. Allow it to cool
down. Contact Hilti service.
Select a tool that is suitable
for the intended purpose.
