plug is accessible.
The three-phase versions do not have a motor protector inside, so overload protection
is the responsibility of the user.
DURING CONNECTION ABSOLUTELY AVOID GETTING THE TERMINAL BOARD OR THE MOTOR WET
OR DAMP.
•
In the single-phase version, make the connection according to the internal or external thermo-
amperometric protection "P".
•
In the three-phase version, after having connected the star or delta power supply cable to the
terminal board, check that the cooling fan rotates in the direction of the arrow on the fan guard,
by looking at the electric pump from the motor side. If this is not the case, reverse two of the
three wires at the base of the motor.
Before making the connection, check that the line voltage and frequency correspond to those indicated
on the nameplate.
•
A control panel with the following devices must be inserted between the line and the electric
pump (if not specified differently in the local standards).
•
Switch with contact opening distance of at least 3 mm.
•
Short-circuit protection device (fuses or magneto-thermal circuit breaker)
•
High-sensitivity residual current circuit breaker (0.03 A)
•
A dry run protection device is recommended and should be connected to a float, probes or other
equivalent instrument.
Connect the yellow-green wire to the PE edge first, leaving it longer so that the latter is the one to be
detached in case of accidental pulling.
7. FILLING OF THE PUMP
CAUTION!
Do not start the pump before it has been placed and installed in its final position for
use, this operation must be carried out with the electrical base of the motor comple-
tely closed.
