3. GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Before starting the pump, it is imperative that the person using the pump knows all the operations ex-
plained in this manual and applies them during the use and maintenance of the product.
3.1 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES FOR THE USER OF THE ELECTRIC PUMP.
Whoever uses the product must comply with the accident prevention regulations in for-
ce in the respective country and must also take into account the characteristics of the
product.
Always wear protective gloves when handling or servicing the pump.
During repair or maintenance of the product, the power supply must be disconnected to
avoid unexpected start-up, which could cause personal injury and/or material damage.
The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowled-
ge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a responsible adult and if they understand the hazards involved. Children must not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
3.2 SIGNIFICANT PROTECTION AND PRECAUTIONS.
All products are designed with guards on their moving parts. The manufacturer declines
all responsibility in the event of damage caused by the removal of these guards.
Each conductor or driven part is electrically insulated with respect to earth. Additional
safety is also added by connecting accessible conductive parts to an earth conductor.
This ensures that accessible parts are not endangered if the main insulation fails.
