lification) may install the device. The relevant en-
gineering practices and the enclosed safety instruc-
tions must be observed!
The Ice and Snow Detector 1873 is a single-chan-
nel basic device that can be used for all applica-
tions in the field of ice and snow detection. With
the 1875 extension unit and the Modbus or LAN
gate-ways, the 1873 can be expanded into mul-
ti-functional systems with up to 8 sensors/heating
channels and connection to the internet or a build-
ing management system.
A comprehensive alarm management checks
both the internal device functions and those of the
con-nected sensors. Furthermore, the function of
the heating relay and a downstream contactor can
be monitored.
