1. Safety Instructions
Carefully read the instruction manual and these important notes before commissioning and connecting the device, and make sure that the require-
ments are fulfilled.
General notes
• Inspect the machine for damage before commissioning. If any damage is found, it must not be operated.
• Always supervise the machine when it is switched on.
• Only use blanks of a diameter of 125 mm!
• Keep the device out of the reach of children!
• In order to protect the device against electric shock, any contact with liquids has to be avoided.
• Infrared heater and heater arm reach high temperatures during operation.
• Avoid flammable material coming close to the infrared heater.
• Only touch the handles, to avoid any risk of burns.
• Transport of the machine has to be effected solely if the machine is cooled down.
• Make sure there the heater stays free accessible during transport to avoid any damaging.
• Safe operation of the device can only be ensured if original SCHEU-DENTAL spare parts are used. Servicing must always be performed by qualified
SCHEU-DENTAL service technicians or at SCHEU-DENTAL. Conversions or modifications to the device might impair product safety and lead to loss
of warranty claims.
• Never open the device without authorisation. Caution: Risk of injury!
• Never carry out repairs on your own!
• The device is designed for power supplies with an alternating voltage of 100 V, 115 V or 230 V. (Please observe the serial number label on the rear
of the device).
Installation of power supply on site
The installation of the power supply for connection of our devices must take place in accordance with international provisions and the regulations
derived thereof.
Our devices are constructed according to VDE protection class I and must be connected to a socket with protective conductor contact.
Environment
The machine is fabricated from reusable or recyclable material. In accordance with the directive 2012/19 Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
legislation (WEEE), SCHEU-DENTAL accepts to take back the device under the condition of free return delivery. Alternatively, the machine can be sent
to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
2. General commissioning
Please make sure to understand and follow the below instructions to make optimal use of the MINISTAR S
in its working environment, make sure there is sufficient space for the infrared heater 1, the pressure chamber 2 and the locking handle 3.The
MINISTAR S
should be placed in a clean environment which is free from dust and plaster. Do not place the machine near to to a steam cleaner or

sandblasting unit.
The enclosed stainless steel pellets should be filled into the model cup 4 and the quantity remaining into the pellet receiver ; when using the
model platform 6 make sure its surface in the model cup is free from pellets. The bearing and top and under the model cup have to be free from
pellets as well.
When embedding, only use the stainless steel pellets provided with the machine. Other material (e.g. rice or sand) might lead to serious damage
of the pneumatic part and the air outlet. If lighter weight materials are used these may ingest into the air stream during pressurising and evacuation.
Connect the MINISTAR S
machine by plugging in only the original power and air connections; make sure the compressed air supply used is free from

oil residues and humidity and has a minimum feed pressure of 4.0 bar.
3. System settings
Customise the settings of language, pressure, temperature and screen contrast according to your individual needs.
Switching on
Press 5 times the button „CE" when the display of the actual machine version appears on the display.
