Switching unit on/off
Set the lever to the choke (closed choke) position (Fig.
15). Pull the starter cable evenly. The engine should start
up after 3-5 pulls. Set the lever to the required speed
setting and pull the driving lever (Fig. 16) against the
handle.
Notice: If the engine is heated up, it is possible to start up
in the slow/fast position.
With the driving lever tripped, the drive will be off but the
engine will still be on. The engine may be switched off
with the switch in OFF position (Fig. 15)
Operator safety instructions
* Do not use the machine until you have read the instruction manual carefully.
* Observe all safety instructions included in the manual.
* Be especially careful while operating the machine when other persons are nearby.
* The unit is equipped with a foot-operated brake than stops the blades within 3 seconds after the drive lever trips. Never
attempt to stop or tilt the unit with the blades still rotating. Wait for the blades to completely stop rotating.
* If the blades come into contact with foreign objects, stop the engine immediately, wait for the blades to completely stop
rotating and check the unit for damage. Continue working only if no damage is detected on the unit.
* Walk while working and do not run.
* Always walk forward only. Never pull the unit walking backwards.
* When working on a slope, always work across, never down and up. Be particularly careful when changing direction.
* When travelling across no-grass areas and transferring the unit from the work area to another one, the blades must not be
operating.
