There is no sound from one side of the headphones.
e Confirm that the headphones plug is inserted completely.
CD Player
Playback is not possible.
e If the disc is upside down, reload it with the labeled side up.
e If the disc is dirty, wipe it clean.
e If a blank disc is loaded, replace it with a disc that has record-
ings on it.
e Depending on the quality and recording conditions of the
disc, some CD-R/CD-RW discs cannot be played back.
e This unit cannot play back unfinalized CD-R/CD-RW discs.
The sound skips.
e Vibrations will cause the sound to skip. Install this unit in a
stable location.
e If the disc is dirty, wipe it clean.
e Do not use discs that are scratched or cracked.
Clock sync
The CLOCK indicator does not stop blinking.
e Set clock synchronization to OFF when not using it.
e A clock signal to which the unit cannot synchronize might be
being input. Check the connections of the clock sync connec-
tors and the settings of the connected devices.
Connections with a computer
Computer does not recognize this unit.
e See page 30 for information about supported operating
systems. Operation with unsupported operating systems is
not guaranteed.
Noise occurs.
e Starting other applications during playback of an audio file
may interrupt playback or cause noise. Do not start other
applications during playback.
e When the unit is connected to a computer via a USB hub, for
example, noise might be heard. If this occurs, connect the
unit directly to the computer.
Audio files cannot be played back.
e Connect this unit to the computer, and set this unit's input to
USB before launching audio playback software.
If you connect this unit to the computer or set its input to USB
after launching audio playback software, audio files might not
play back properly.
Playback stopped working.
e Check the audio output device setting of the operating sys-
tem. Try deleting the driver and reinstalling it. For details, see
the TEAC ASIO USB DRIVER Installation Guide included with
the driver.
Since this unit uses a microcontroller, external noise and other inter-
ference can cause the unit to malfunction. If this occurs, unplug the
power cord, wait for a while, and then turn the unit on again and
restart operations.
Note about condensation
If this unit is brought from a cold outdoor environment into a
warm room, or the heater has just been turned on in the room
where it is located, for example, condensation might occur on
operating parts or lenses, resulting in improper operation. If this
occurs, leave the product on and wait one to two hours. This
should enable normal playback.
