while, for instance if you have been away on a holiday, you
should remove all the separate parts for cleaning and rinse the
coffeepadmachine with fresh water. Place the cleaned parts in the
machine. This prevents an additional taste.

What to do if...

When the appliance has a malfunction, one or two pilot lamps will
blink fast.
LAMP COLOR CONDITION
red/green constantly
red blinking slowly
red blinking fast
green constantly
green blinking slowly
green off
If the appliance does not work properly, this does not always mean
that it is defective. Try to deal with the problem yourself first. Phone
the service department if the advice given below does not help. Only
authorised personnel may open the appliance or carry out work on
the mains power supply. Damage caused by incorrect connection,
incorrect installation or incorrect use is not covered by the warranty.
In the case of faults, contact your technical service centre.
CAUSE SOLUTION
Waterreservoir is not placed Empty the reservoir, fill it up again to the maximumlevel
correctly. and place it on the coffeepadmachine.
Waterlevel is under the Fill the waterreservoir to the maximumlevel.

Boiler overheated. Switch the appliance off and rinse it as described on
page 9 "To rinse the machine".

7 Faults

EXPLANATION
Coffeepadmachine is ready for use.
Appliance is heating up.
Malfunction in the appliance, see the table
below.
Coffeepaddrawer is locked correctly and
the appliance is ready for making coffee.
Don't open the drawer, it is still locked.
Please wait a couple of seconds until the
pilot lamp lights constantly.
Coffeepaddrawer is not locked, open the
drawer and lock it again.
