4. Close the drawer gently inwards untill it can't go further.
5. Put a large mug or bowl under the coffee-outlet to hold the water.
6. Switch the coffeepadmachine on with the on/off button
press directly the 1-cup button
same time. To rinse the appliance, don't let it heat up.
7. The coffeepadmachine will now fill the boiler and rinse the
appliance.
8. The coffeepadmachine will switch off automatically as soon as the
rinsing is done.
9. The coffeepadmachine is now ready for use.
5.3 The taste-selector
The taste-selector provides you with the possibility to select and adjust
your individual wateramount/ coffeestrenght. You can turn the taste-
selector to the left and the right.
º When you turn the taste-selector to the left, you will get
stronger coffee with a smaller amount of water.
º Place the taste-selector in the middle and you will get a
standard amount of coffee.
º When you turn the taste-selector completely to the right, the
coffee will get thinner because the appliance will use more
water. We advise to place a small mug when you use this
selection.

5.4 Making coffee

1. Fill the removable water tank with cold water to the
level and place it in the coffeepadmachine (see fig. 1).
2. Switch the coffeepadmachine on with the on/off button
the appliance will now heat up the water. The red light will blink
slowly while heating. This will take 2 minutes.
3. Open the drawer by gently pulling on the handles of the coffee-
outlet (see fig. 2). The drawer will now slide open.
4. Place a coffeepad in the multi-padholder with the round side
downwards and press it lightly. Make sure that the coffee is well
spread and loose.
Depending on the cups of coffee you want to make, you can place one
or two coffeepads in the multipadholder. This coffeepadmachine can

be used with almost all available coffeepads. You can place one or two
coffeepads and coffeepads of different sizes in the multi-padholder.
The coffeepadmachine will automatically adapt to the number of
coffeepads you have placed (max. 2 coffeepads).
Warning: do not use the holders for grounded coffee.
5. Slide the drawer gently inwards until it can't go further. The green
light will light up indicating that the drawer is locked correctly.
The appliance can not make coffee when the green light is not lit.
6. Place one or two cups under the coffee-outlet.
7. Adjust the taste-selector for the amount of water to your own
taste.
If you choose to get more water, your cup will be filled more, but the
coffee will get thinner. If you choose less water, your cup will become
less full, but the coffee will get stronger.
8. Press gently on the button of the number of cups you want to
make, 1 or 2, respective button
9. The coffeepadmachine will now make coffee with the amount of
water you selected and will pour it in the coffeecup. When you
want the appliance to stop making coffee prematurely, press any
button.
10. If you want to make more cups of coffee, you have to wait until
the green pilot lamp doesn't blink any longer. You can than open
the drawer to place new coffeepads.
WARNING! As long as the green pilot lamp blinks, you should
not remove the waterreservoir and you should not open the
drawer.
Only fill the water tank with cold water. Never fill it with other
liquids such as mineral water or milk.
To ensure good, aromatic coffee at all times, you should:
- change the water in the water tank every day;
- clean the water tank with normal water for rinsing at least once a
week. Then rinse off with fresh water.
