12) Multi-functional control knob. By pressing
the control knob the following parameters can be
selected and set. The lighting of the LED indicates
which parameter has been selected. The value to be
set is also displayed on the digital display (16). This
value can be changed by turning the control knob.
13) LED light. This lights up when the device is
switched on.
14) LED light to indicate that the thermostat is
activated.
15) When the integrated water cooler is switched on,
the system uses a pressure sensor. If the coolant
pressure is too low, this LED lights up and no
welding current is generated. This way the welding
torch and the water cooler are protected.
16) Digital display: Ammeter / programming
mode. The digital display is used to display
both the preset welding current and the
actual amperage of the power source. In the
programming mode, it's purpose is also to display
the parameters. Depending on the programming
parameter selected, the status indicator next to
the display will light up to show the units of the
programming parameter.
17) Hot Start (only available from MMA and MMA
VRD): 0-10. This parameter can be selected by
turning the control knob (12). The lighting of this
LED indicates that the display shows the Hot Start
setting. This value can be changed by turning the
control knob (12). The welding machine delivers
a peak current to improve the ignition of the
electrode.
