Important!
When using the guide rail, a few safety precautions
must be observed to avoid injuries and damage.
Please read the complete operating manual with due
care. Keep these operating instructions in a safe
place so that the information is available at all times. If
you give the guide rail to any other persons, give
them these operating instructions as well. We can
accept no liability for damage or accidents which
arise due to non-compliance with these instructions.
Warning!
Read all the instructions for the guide rail and all
the instructions and safety information for the
hand-held circular saw!
Failure to comply with the instructions for the guide
rail and the instructions and safety information for the
hand-held circular saw may result in an electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Keep all the instructions and safety information
in a safe place for future use.
1. Layout and items supplied (Fig. 1/2)
1. Guide rail (2x)
2. Guide rail fastener
3. Screw clamp
Open the packaging and take out the guide rail
with care.
Remove the packaging material and any
packaging and transportation braces (if
available).
Check to see if all items are present.
Inspect the guide rail and the accessories for
transport damage.
If possible, keep the packaging until the end of
the guarantee period.
IMPORTANT
The guide rail and packaging material are not
toys. Do not let children play with plastic bags,
foils and small parts. There is a danger of
swallowing and suffocating!
2. Assembly (Fig. 1)
Plug together the two rails supplied.
1. Insert the two pins (a) of the one guide rail (1) into
the slot (b) of the other guide rail.
2. Push the fasteners (2) forward to secure the two
guide rails.

To disassemble, proceed in reverse order.
3. Use
The guide rail is secured to the workpiece in order to
make exact and straight cuts (see point 3.1). It can
also be used to make 45° cuts (see point 3.2).
Before working with the guide rail, please also read
the operating instructions and the safety information
issued for the hand-held circular saw.
When the first cut is made, a piece of the rubber lip at
the edge of the guide rail will be cut off. This ensures
that the rubber lip rests exactly against the saw blade.
Use a waste piece for this first cut.
3.1 Working with the guide rail (Fig. 2-3)
Mark up your workpiece.
Position the guide rail (1) so that the edge of the
guide rail (1) rests against the marker line on the
workpiece.
Fasten the guide rail (1) with the screw clamps (3)
(see Fig. 2).
The nipple on the head of the screw clamp (3)
must sit in the recess at the edge of the guide rail
(1).
Place the hand-held circular saw on the guide rail
(1). For 45° cuts see point 3.2.
The elevation (c) in the middle of the rail must
coincide with the recess (d) on the hand-held
circular saw (see Fig. 2).
Switch on the hand-held circular saw and move it
evenly with little force along the guide rail.
If necessary, the screw clamp (3) can also be used at
a different position on the guide rail (1) (see Fig. 3).
Important!
The hand-held circular saw is not allowed to stand on
the guide rail where the rail projects beyond the
workpiece. In this case hold the hand-held circular
saw securely in order to prevent damage to the guide
rail.
3.2 Making 45° cuts (Fig. 4)
The guide rail (1) can also be used to make 45° cuts,
as shown in Fig. 4. In this case the narrow side (45°)
of the guide rail (1) must rest against the saw blade.
For 90° cuts the broad side (90°) of the guide rail (1)
must rest against the saw blade.
