Problem or failure
The air conditioner does not turn on.
The remote control does not work.
The wired control does not work.

5. Use a vacuum cleaner or running water to clean the air filter. If the
filter is very dirty, wash it with soft detergent and hot water (below
40 °C).
6. Clean the air filter grid with a damp cloth.
7. Dry thoroughly the air filter and its grid.
Caution
Do not dry with direct sunlight.
8. Reinstall the air filter and the air inlet.
Important
Ensure the air filter is securely fastened.
Important
Only use alkaline batteries and not rechargeable batteries.
Warning
The batteries should be disposed of properly, in compliance with
local regulations.
1. Open the sliding cover on the back in the direction of the arrow.
2. Insert two new batteries (AA), observing the polarity (+/-).
3. Put the cover back in place.
If a problem or failure occurs, locate the fault in the following table and
check the potential correction. If you are unable to solve it yourself,
contact an authorised service mechanic.
Important
If the problem persists even after these checks or if you detect a
burning smell, stop operation immediately, turn off the electrical
circuit and consult authorised service personnel.
Probable causes
Air condtioner is turned off.
Main power is off.
Remote control or wired control is
down.
Batteries are empty.
Distance between indoor unit and re­
mote control is too long.
An obstacle hinders reception.
Cables are disconnected.
Cables are damaged.
Wired controller is out of order.
Correction
Check if the mains power is present.
Check if the air conditioner is turned
on.
Check if the remote control or wired
control works.
Check the batteries health.
Change the batteries.
Make sure the distance between the
remote control and the indoor unit is
less than 8 m.
Remove any obstacle between the re­
mote control and the indoor unit.
Contact the maintenance service.
