2.7 Screw the housing and the metal head together hand-tight (fig. 5), plug in the 4-pin
connector (fig. 2) and mount the wall support if necessary (fig. 4).
2.8 Carry out the commissioning in accordance with section 6, points 1 to 4.
2.9 Perform the reset procedure: When fitting a new active unit, the consumption meter
is reset to zero. To do this, press and hold the button on the right-hand side of the
electronics (fig. 1) for 4 seconds until you hear an acoustic signal.
A description for this is supplied with each treatment unit.
Note: For reasons of hygiene, the permasolvent primus 2.0 must be supplied with mains
voltage at all times. Therefore, do not disconnect the device from the mains even during
long periods of absence.
The treatment units must be exchanged after a specified flow rate or at the latest
after 5 years:
PT-P 25: 1 active unit with 540 m³
PT-P 40: 2 active units, each with 540 m3 (1080 m³)
PT-P 40/2: 4 active units, each with 540 m3 (2160 m³)
PT-P 40/3: 6 active units, each with 540 m3 (3240 m³)
8. INSPECTION of PT-P 40, PT-P 40/ 2 and PT-P 40/3
The function of the flow turbine must be checked regularly and the turbine replaced if
necessary. To do this, please open one or more taps and check the LED display on the
electronics of the permasolvent primus 2.0. Depending on the flow rate, the LED row
operates as a moving light (see section 6, point 5).
If at least one blue LED does not flash with a water flow of more than 6 L/min (PT-P 40)*,
please contact your SHK specialist, who will remove the flow turbine, check its function and
clean or replace it as necessary. With the exception of the exchange of the active units after
reaching the capacity limit or at the latest after 5 years, the limescale protection system is
maintenance-free.
* in the case of the types PT-P 40/2 and PT-P 40/3, at least 12 or 18 L/min water
respectively must flow out of the tap for this check.
