SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning: Read the manual carefully before use. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in tool damage, physical injury
and/or damage to property. Save the manual in a safe place for future reference.
General safety rules
• Keep children and non-essential persons away from the work area. Do not allow children to handle the tool.
• Do not wear watches, rings bracelets or loose clothing when using the tool.
• Maintain the tool in good condition and replace any damaged or worn parts. Use genuine parts only. Non-authorised parts may be dangerous.
• Warning: Ensure that the air pressure is at an appropriate level and doesn't exceed recommended levels. 90 psi is recommended.
• Keep the air hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check air hose for wear before each use and ensure that all connections are secure.
• Wear approved safety glasses, ear protection and hand protection.
• Warning: Due to the possible presence of asbestos dust from brake linings, when working around vehicle brake systems we recommend you wear suitable
respiratory protection.
• Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and wear non-slip shoes.
• DO NOT use the tool for a task it is not designed to perform.
• DO NOT use the tool if it is damaged in any way or is functioning abnormally.
• DO NOT carry the tool by the air hose.
• DO NOT direct air from the air hose at yourself or others.
• When not in use disconnect the tool from the air supply and store in a safe, dry place that is inaccessible to children.
• Only qualified and trained operators should install, adjust or use the tool.
• Do not modify the tool in any way.
Projectile hazard
• While using the tool, there is a risk of materials being ejected at high velocity.
• Always wear impact-resistant eye protection while operating the tool.
• Ensure that the workpiece is securely fixed.
Entanglement hazard
• Loose clothing and apparel such as jewellery, necklaces and gloves can get entangled in moving parts, causing serious injury.
• Long hair must be tied back to prevent them from getting caught in moving parts.
• Keep hands away from moving parts.
Operating hazards
• Hold the tool correctly and always be prepared to counteract sudden movements and have both hands available.
• Use only lubricants recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use the tool in confined spaces.
• Disconnect the tool from the energy supply before changing the inserted tool or accessory.
• Do not touch sockets or accessories during operation as this increases the risk of cuts, burns or sustaining vibration injuries.
• Use only sizes and types of accessories that are recommended by the tool's manufacturer.
• Do not use sockets or accessories if they not in good condition as they can shatter and eject at high velocity.
Repetitive motion hazard
• While using the tool, the operator may experience discomfort in the hands, arms, shoulders, neck or other parts of the body.
• The operator should adopt a comfortable posture while using the tool.
• If the operator experiences symptoms such as persistent or recurring discomfort, pain, tingling, numbness, burning sensations or stiffness, these warnings
signs should not be ignored. The operator should inform the employer and consult a qualified health professional.
Workplace hazard
• Slips, trips and falls are causes of workplace injury. Be aware of slippery surfaces and also of trip hazards caused by the air line or hydraulic hose.
• Proceed with care in unfamiliar surroundings. Serious injury may result if the tool comes into contact with hidden electrical cables or gas pipes.
