IMPORTANT : Observe all effective governing codes and ordinances
It is the customer's responsability to :
•
Contact a qualified electrician and have a junction box installed in the wall where the range hood
will be installed, in the area that will be hidden by the upper cabinet.
•
Ensure that the electrical installation is adequate and in conformance with all local codes and
ordinances. If codes prmit it and a separate ground wire is used, it is recommended that a
qualified electrician determine that the ground path is adequate.
•
A 120-volt, 60 Hz, AC-Only fused electrical supply is required on a separate 15-amp circuit.
•
Do not ground to a has pipe.
•
Do not use a fuse in the neutral or ground circuit.
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK
This range hood must be properly grounded to prevent electrical shock. Check with a qualified
electrician if you are unsure wheter the range hood is properly grounded. The range hood should
be connected directly to a junction box. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug with
this appliance. Connect three wires according to color (black to hot, white to neutral and green to
ground) to house wires and a cap with wire connectors.
1. Read the entire installation and user's guide thoroughly in order to fully understand the instructions
and warnings before beginning installation.
2. Familiarize yourself with the controls on the range hood by reading the Range Hood Operation
section.
3. Place the range hood on a flat, stable surface. Connect it to a standard outlet (please refer to the
product label for suitable vultage of this unit). Verify that no debris has entered the vent opening
and turn on the range hood. Verify all controls by refering to the Range Hood Operation section.
4. Place all supplied parts and required tools on a flat, stable surface and verify them against the
list of parts.
5. Carefully remove the white plastic protective coating from range hood.
At least two people are required to move and install this
range hood. Back or other injuries could occur if this warning
EXCESSIVE WEIGHT
is not followed.
