WARNING!
Do not attempt to modify this product or create accessories

WARNING!
To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious
personal injury,always remove the battery pack from the
product when assembling parts.
Attach the guard
(see Figure 2)
WARNING!
Avoid contact with the blade. Failure to avoid contact can
result in serious personal injury.

Invert the string trimmer to access the trimmer head.
Put the lower shaft into the groove of the guard.

Insert the bracket into the slot. Align the screw holes on the bracket with the
screw holes on the guard.

Install and tighten the screws.
Attaching the auxiliary handle

Put the auxiliary handle into the groove of the lower clamp.

Put the upper clamp onto the handle. Make sure the handle is installed in
(see Figure 3)
the groove.

Insert the knob through the upper clamp.

Tighten the knob.
Installing the attachments to the split shaft coupling (see
Figure 4)

Loosen the knob on the coupler.

Push in the release button located on the lower shaft. Align the release
button with the positioning hole and slide the two shafts together. Rotate
the lower shaft until the button locks into the positioning hole.
Tighten the knob securely.

NOTE: If the button does not release completely in the positioning hole, the
shafts are not locked into place. Slightly rotate from side to side until the button is
locked into place.
Installing the battery pack(see Figure 5)

Put the battery pack in the trimmer. Align the raised ribs on
battery pack with the grooves in the trimmer's battery port. Make
sure the battery pack is fully seated and secured in the trimmer
before beginning operation.
Removing the baterry pack (see Figure 5)

Push and hold the battery release button on the side of the rear housing.

Take out the battery pack and release the button.
