Troubleshooting Codes
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Tighten fittings where air can be heard escaping. Check fittings
with soapy water solution. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Air tank must be replaced. Do not repair the leak.
WARNING: Risk of bursting. Do not drill into, weld or otherwise
modify air tank or it will weaken. The air tank can rupture or
explode.
Contact a D
service center.
Operate safety valve manually by pulling on ring. If valve still
leaks, it must be replaced.
Decrease amount of air usage.
Check the accessory air requirement. If it is higher than the SCFM
or pressure supplied by your air compressor, a larger compressor
is needed to operate accessory.
Check and replace air hose, if required.
Move unit to a dry, well ventilated area.
Clean or replace air intake filter.
Check belt tension, see Adjusting Belt Tension under
Maintenance.
Tighten pulley set screw, torque to 145-180 in.-lbs. (16.4–20.3 Nm).
Tighten flywheel screw, torque to 13–16 ft.-lbs. (17.6–21.7 Nm).
