Ethylene Filter
The ethylene retaining filter helps to re-
move the ethylene gas and bad odours re-
leased from the vegetables and fruits in the
crisper.
You may store the fruits such as pear,
apricot, peach and particularly apples,
which generate high amount of ethylene
gas, separately with other vegetables and
fruits in the same crisper thanks to the ve-
getable separator.
The ethylene gas released from these fruits
may cause your other vegetables and fruits
to ripen faster and rot in a shorter time.
Thanks to this feature, you may keep your
fresh food and particularly your green ve-
getables that are sensitive to ethylene gas
fresh for a longer period of time.
You may store your food for a longer period
of time by placing the foods sensitive to
ethylene gas in one of the compartments
separated by the crisper separator, and the
foods that generate ethylene gas in the
other compartment.
Foods that generate ethylene gas and that
are sensitive to ethylene gas are listed be-
low.
Foods that generate ethylene gas; Apple,
pear, apricot, peach, nectarine, avocado,
kiwi, plum, fig, quince, tomato
Foods that are sensitive to ethylene gas;
Fresh green vegetables (such as lettuce,
parsley), strawberry, cherry, grapes, orange,
tangerine, pineapple, cherry, lemon, cucum-
ber, broccoli, pepper, eggplant, okra, zuc-
chini
Cleaning of the Ethylene Filter
Ethylene filter shall be cleaned once a year.
Remove the ethylene filter by pulling the fil-
ter cover upwards as shown in the figure.
Leave the ethylene filter under sunlight for
a day. Thus, your filter shall be cleaned.
Put the filter back, and close the upper
cover.
To provide maximum effectiveness of your
filter and to preserve its performance, avoid
contact with oil and similar fluids, and ma-
terials such as water and detergents. Com-
municate with the service to replace your
filter with a new one after such contact.
Cleaning of the Crisper Separator
To prevent blockage of the clean air holes
of the crisper separator, wipe it with a
clean, dry cloth in specified intervals. If the
separator shall be washed, always remove
the filter from the separator.
Ensure that the holes around the fil-
ter are not blocked to ensure air cir-
culation.

Crisper Technologies
Blue Light
Fruits and vegetables stored in the crispers
that are illuminated with a blue light con-
tinue their photosynthesis by means of the
wavelength effect of blue light and thus
preserve their vitamin content.
