Notes on documentation
Where necessary, product information about this device can be downloaded from the RCM Inline Meter

(RCM) website and from various QR codes via the display.
With the display switched on, from the Rittal menu page, you can display the first QR code by pressing
and holding down the "ESC" key for 3 s (fig. 5, item 1) until the display timeout is reached or any other
key is pressed. The "Up" key (fig. 5, item. 2) and the "Down" key (fig 5, item. 5) allow switching between
the different QR codes. The following information is stored in the QR codes:
"PDUi Info": contains the information printed on the RCM rating plate.
"Network Info": contains all set network information.
"System Info": contains all system information.
"Phase 1 Info", "Phase 2 Info" and "Phase 3 Info": contain the measured values of the associated
phase. These values are recalculated and refreshed every 3 seconds (approx.).
"Controller Info": contains the information printed on the RCM controller rating plate.
This Installation and Short User Guide is intended for experienced, trained specialists and contains only
the most important information concerning the assembly, installation and function of the RCM Inline Me-
ter.

Storing the documents
These instructions are an integral part of the product. They must be issued to everyone who works with
the unit and must always be available and on hand for operating and maintenance personnel.

Safety instructions
– Assembly and installation of the device may only be performed by experienced, trained specialists.
– The RCM housing must not be opened.
– The RCM must not come into contact with water, aggressive or inflammable gases or vapours.
– The RCM may only be operated within the specified environmental conditions (see section 9).
– The RCM is connected permanently to the mains power and does not have a main switch for the all-
pole mains power decoupling.
– The RCM is no substitute for a fault current circuit-breaker.
REACH safety instructions in accordance with regulation (EU) no. 1907/2006:
– The product contains the following SVHC substances:
– Lead – CAS no. 7439-92-1
– Lead(II) oxide – CAS no. 1317-36-8
– Diboron trioxide – CAS no. 1303-86-2
– Lead titanium trioxide – CAS no. 12060-00-3
– According to the manufacturer, there are no health risks during use provided the product is handled
properly.
– After use, the product must be disposed of properly in accordance with the applicable legal regula-
tions.
