Cover the unit and the engine to protect against dust
and store in a clean, dry place.
When re-commissioning after a long period of storage

Change the engine oil.

Fill with fresh petrol before starting the motor after the
storage period.
If the engine is not used for more than one month, chan-
ges to the petrol quality may result in difficulties starting
the engine or in other issues. To prevent this, loosen the
carburettor's drain screw and allow the petrol to run out.
Also open the fuel valve so that the petrol drains from
the tank.

Fault
Engine will not start
Engine is running loudly/irregularly
No electrical output
Engine will not switch off
Repairs
Only use manufacturer's recommended accessories and replacement parts. If the unit should fail despite our quality
controls and your maintenance, only allow an authorised electrician to carry out repairs.
Cause
No fuel in the tank.
Fuel valve closed.
Air filter dirty.
Engine switch is set to "OFF".
Recoil starter defective.
No engine oil.
Spark plug dirty.
Engine oil level too low (oil warning
lamp is flashing).
On/off switch for motor operation set
incorrectly.
Spark plug dirty.
Air filter severely dirty.
Fuel contaminated/stale.
Choke lever set to "CHOKE".
Incorrect fuel - diesel instead of petrol
Fault in the a.c. power generator.
Ignition switch-off wire defective.
Remedy
Fill the tank up.
Open the fuel valve.
Clean the air filter.
Set the engine switch to "ON".
Repair the recoil starter.
Refill the engine oil.
Clean the spark plug.
Refill the engine oil.
Set to the correct position.
Clean/replace the spark plug.
Clean/replace the air filter.
Drain and replace the fuel.
Set the choke lever to "RUN".
Drain the fuel and fill with the correct
fuel
For service under warranty, inform
your representative
Close the fuel valve and wait until the
engine shuts off; call customer service
