Mains Vo
ltage
Setting
and
Fuses
Before inserting the
mains
plug into
the
mains
socket,
make sure that
the
instrument is
set
to
the local
mains
vo ltage. Two mains
voltage ranges
100 V ...
120
V or 200 V ... 240
V
are
selected
by
a slide switch below
the mains
input socket at
the
rear
.
WARNING:
If the
mains
plug
has to be adapted
to
the
local
situation,
such
adaption should be
done by a
qualified
person
only
.
On delivery
from
the factory
the
instrument
is set
to one
of
the
following mains
voltage
ranges:

OPERATING POSITION OF TH
E
INSTRUMENT
The
instrument

an be
used
in
the
position
indicated
in chapter
4.
With
the
handle
folded
down
.
the
instrument
may
be used in a sloping position. The
characteristics
mentioned in
chapter 4.
are guaranteed
for
the
specified
positions. Ensure that the
ventilation
holes
in the
cover are free of obstruction. Do not position
the
instrument on any surface which
produces
or
radiates
heat
,
or
in
direct sunlight
.

RADIO
INTERFER ENCE SUPPRESSION
Radio interference of the instrument is suppressed and checked
carefully
. In connection with
deficient suppressed base units and further
units
radio interference can
be
ge
nerated.
