Display

The DiTemp DT3 has a 3½-digit digital display with bar graph. The microprocessor of the de-
vice permanently checks the sensor signal for plausibility. The exact temperature value is
shown on the digital display. The bar graph allows easy reading even from a greater dis-
tance.
Error display
In case of an error the result is shown on the digital display:
SEn Sensor error:

The sensor or the supply cable is defective. The device must be returned to the manufac-
turer for repair.
IMPORTANT! DiTemp DT3 with long-distance line
 Check that the long-distance line of the sensor is correctly connected and not dam-
aged.
Lo Battery condition warning:
•
The battery is empty and the DiTemp DT3 has reached the end of its lifetime. Replace
the DiTemp DT3 by a new device.

DiTemp DT3 with analogue output (optional)

The built-in, digital transmitter provides a 4-20 mA analogue signal, supplied by the 2-wire
loop voltage. This enables continuous monitoring of a process.
The connection of the transmitter is protected against polarity reversal, so that no damage to
the device can occur if the connections are reversed:
Pole 1 = +
Pole 2 = -
NOTICE
If strong external electromagnetic fields cause the current output signal to fluctuate, we
recommend placing a latching ferrite around the cable as close as possible to the device
plug.
