8. PROGRAMMING
1) After connecting all mechanical and electrical components securely, manoeuvre the barrier manually using the specific release key.
2) Disconnect power, then adjust the two bolts setting the barrier open and barrier closed end stops.
3) Check that the bar is balanced correctly: the bar should remain in equilibrium at an angle between 45-50°.
4) Re-engage the barrier with the drive motor with the lock key.
5) The travel acquisition cycle counts and memorises the number of pulses received from an encoder on the motor drive shaft.
IMPORTANT: do not obstruct the movement of the barrier during this cycle.
9. SETTING THE TRIMMERS
PM1: PAUSE TIME. Sets the pause time between 2 and 120 sec.
PM2: SPEED. Sets manoeuvre time.
PM3: PRE-MANOEUVRE WARNING LAMP FLASH TIME. Sets the pre-manoeuvre warning flash time between 0 and 10 sec.
10. WORKING WITH A BUFFER BATTERY
KIT-BATT allows the automation system to operate even when the mains power supply is disconnected for a short time.
Consult the KIT-BATT installation manual.
12. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1) ACQUISITION MODE AND POWER OUTAGES
Acquisition mode is activated automatically after a power outage. The barrier moves slowly in this mode to locate the position of the
mechanical end stops.
The control unit exits acquisition mode automatically when an opening cycle and a closing cycle are completed in succession.
The control unit automatically adjusts the motor deceleration ramp in relation to the weight of the barrier and the ambient temperature.
It may take a number of opening and closing cycles for the ramp to be set correctly. During this period, the bar may not stop smoothly
at the end of travel.
