Important points on the operation of
the pump, PLR, LON, IR monitor
The display of errors (menu 10) incl. error acknowledg-
ment has the highest priority. What this means is that
errors take precedence on the pump's display and that
they must be acknowledged and removed.
If settings are made on the control module or from the
IR monitor and not confirmed by pressing the button,
the setting will return to the previous position 30 s af-
ter the last entry.
Pump m–n LON: The pump is controlled via the LON
x
network of the building management system (BMS).
The display shows
cannot be operated. Exception
display position setting, error acknowledgement.
Pump m–n PLR: When a command is received from
x
the building management system (BMS) the pump
automatically switches to PLR mode. The display
shows
. The control system
automatically set, the control system p-vis unavai-
lable. The pump is now blocked and cannot be ope-
rated. Exception
setting, error acknowledgement.
Pump m–n PLR/LON m–n IR: With this configura-
x
tion the pump gives the settings on the PLR priority.
The connection via the interface to the BMS can be
temporarily interrupted with the IR monitor. Settings
can then be made via the IR monitor or on the control
module. The connection to the interface is re-esta-
blished 5 min after the last setting made via the IR
monitor. During the interruption
the display.
Pump m–n IR without Key function: The last com-
x
mand, whether from the IR monitor or control mo-
dule, is stored by the pump.
Pump m–n IR with Key function: When the "Key
x
function on" command is received, the control mo-
dule's current settings remain in place. The display
shows „
." The pump is now blocked and cannot
be operated.

ATTENTION!
5.1

Installing the pump

The pump is to be installed in a dry, well-ventilated
x
and frost-free place.
,
Installation should only take place once all welding
x
and soldering work and the rinsing of the pipe net-
work has been completed. Dirt can have an adverse
effect on the functioning of the pump.
t is recommended that shut-off devices be installed
x
) is also
before and after the pump. This will save you having
to drain and refill the unit if the pump has to be chan-
ged.
If installed in the flow pipe of open units, the expan-
x
sion flow pipe must branch off on the pressure side of
the pump.
Install the pump stressfree. The pipes must be atta-
x
ched in such a way that the pump does not bear the
weight of the pipes.
Before installing the single pump, the two shells of
x
the thermal insulation (fig. 5, pos. 1) are to be remo-
ved.
The direction of flow of the media must match the di-
x
rection triangle on the pump housing (fig. 1a, pos. 2).
Only installation positions as shown in fig. 2 are per-
x
mitted. The pump shaft must be horizontal.
fig. 2a: Permissible installation positions for single
pumps
fig. 2b: Permissible installation positions for double
pumps
When installing in confined spaces, for example in
compact distributors, the control module can be pla-
ced in a vertical position by rotating the motor, see
chapter 5.1.2. Double pumps are delivered with verti-
cally fitted control modules.
Install the pump in an easily accessible place, so that
x
subsequent servicing work can easily be carried out.
Installation is to be carried out such that dripping wa-
ter cannot drip onto the pump motor or control mo-
dule.
When installing pumps with combi flange PN6/10
x
(flange pumps up to and including DN 65), the fol-
lowing guidelines are to be observed (fig. 3):
1. Combi flanges may not be fitted to composite
flanges.
