From time to time check the wear level on the brake ferode and replace it as needed before the pulley (3, Fig.4) cuts into the mounting (4, Fig.4).
Drive belt adjustment is obteined with the adjuster (8, Fig.2) so that the spring is correctly tensioned.
Cut height is regulated with lever (3, Fig.2) as shown by the sticker on the dashboard. If the cable becomes excessively slack, regulate it with register
(9) to reset its original condition.
MAINTENANCE
Always switch the engine off and remove the plug lead before any maintenance.
1. Cleaning the grass mowers
- When you have finished working, you should always clean your lawnmower.
- Do not spray with water under any circumstances! Water penetration into the ignition system and/or the carburettor will lead to poor starting and
running.
Use a cloth or brush to remove dirt and grass.
- Store the lawnmower in a dry place.

2. Engine maintenance

Read carefully and understand fully the engine instruction manual part of the machine's documents.
3. Changing and regrinding of blades
- Please use only original replace ment blades!
- To replace the blade, first pull off the spark plug contact.
- The blade should always be sharpened at the beginning of the season. If during the main cutting season, you notice that the grass tips split or
become yellowed or brown after mowing, then the blade must be reground.
When regrinding follow the original ground pattern. Ensure that you worh both ends equally to avoid poor balance. If theblade retains its equilibrium
(Fig.7), then it has been sharpened correctly. If not, then the heavier side must be reground.
Unbalanced blades cause excess vibration of the mower. lf at all unsure, please contact a service agent.
- We do not recommend the regrinding of blades, re-sharpening should not exceed a max (Fig.9). Reduction of 6 mm after which the blade must
be changed.
4. Battery maintenance (engine with electric start)
Battery specifications: 12V - 15Ah - 60A
- The starter battery is pre-charged by the works. If the engine can not be started with the ignition key, you will have to recharge the starter-battery.
- Recharging will also be necessary if the mower has been out of service for a prolonged period such as over the winter.
- Only recharge the starter-battery in a dry room.
- After a few hours, repeat starting process. If the engine will still not start, prolong charging time.
- Caution! Protect the clamps from humidity and dirt. Do not spray with water.
- We advise you to unplug the battery cable before storage. Always store in a dry, well-ventilated place where the temperature is never more
than + 23° C. Under these conditions a fully-charged battery will only need re-charging after a period of about 2 years.
- Important! Do not allow discharged batteries to remain uncharged for any length of time.
13
Batteries should be fully charged before being stored.
- Re-charge a discharged battery immediately.
