Adjustment of the Bus Coupler
In order to be able to put the device into operation, the
physical address and the logical address (group address)
must be allocated.
To Allocate the Physical Address
• Using the EIBA software (ETS), connect a PC to the EIB
bus line via the EIB-RS 232 interface (Art. No. 6186-500
or 6133-2x-500).
• Press the programming button (Fig. 1) on the device:
The red (programming) LED (Fig. 1, Pos. 5) lights up.
• The red LED extinguishes after the physical address
has been programmed.
• Note the number of the physical address on the label
using a non-smudge pen.
To Allocate the Group Address(es)
• The group addresses are allocated via the PC using the
ETS 2.
