battery back-up installation

Ensure the gas and electrical power to the appliance is turned off.
•
Appliance may be hot. Do not service until the appliance has cooled.
note:
In the event of a power failure, your appliance can be operated using the battery back-up supplied.
Remove the safety barrier to easily access the control compartment.
A.
Turn off the gas and disconnect the electrical power supply from the appliance.
B.
Locate the battery housing inside the valve compartment.

Install 2 "D" alkaline batteries (not supplied) into the battery housing. Ensure the positive and negative

ends correspond with those identified on the holder.
Turn the gas and electrical power back on to begin operating the appliance.

Reinstall the safety barrier. The safety barrier must be installed at all times during operation of the

appliance.
