6.2 Starting up
S Supply the QuantumX module with a permissible sup­
ply voltage; the SCM­HV is supplied by the Quan­
tumX module.

S Launch one of the QuantumX applications (e.g. Quan­
tumX Assistant) and proceed as described in the rel­
evant documentation.
S For the 10 V measuring range, select the "10 V DC
voltage" sensor in the QuantumX Assistant.
S For the 300 V measuring range, select a sensor for
DC voltages >10 V in the QuantumX Assistant.
6.3 Connection options
The measuring voltage at the connections is first reduced
in the SCM­HV by a voltage divider to safe values, is
amplified and arrives in a suitable QuantumX module.
Each channel — now electrically isolated from all the
others and to the reference ground — is now converted
to a digital data stream. The QuantumX module then out­
puts the data via Firewire or Ethernet.
