Intended use
Pruning chainsaws are special chainsaws with a
control handle on the top of the machine. They are
specially designed for tree maintenance and
arboricultural surgery, that is to say for work to be
carried out in the top of a standing tree.
Maintenance work on a tree must only be carried
out with suitable safety equipment (eg lifting
platform or basket, individual safety devices to
prevent any risk of falling).
Use this chainsaw exclusively for sawing wood or
wooden objects.
It is forbidden to use the chainsaw for other work.
RISK OF ACCIDENT!
It is forbidden to use this chainsaw for felling work or
for cutting firewood. For this work, conventional
chainsaws must be used, whose handles
front and rear are more spaced.
Do not make any modifications to the Chainsaw, as
this could compromise its safety. ELEM GARDEN
TECHNIC declines all responsibility for injuries or
material damage caused by the use of unauthorized
attachments.
General precautions
The device may only be used by a person who
has read and understood all of the warnings
and operating instructions. Local regulations
sometimes set age limits for the user.
- To ensure correct operation the user has to read
this instruction manual to make himself familiar with
the characteristics of the chain saw. Users
insufficiently informed will endanger themselves as
well as others due to improper handling.
- Lend this chain saw only to persons with training
and experience in the use of treesurgery saws.
Always hand over the instruction manual.
- Children and young persons aged under 18 years
must not be allowed to operate the chain saw.
Persons over the age of 16 years may, however,
use the chain saw for the purpose of being trained
as long as they are under the supervision of a
qualified trainer.
- Use chain saws always with the utmost care and
attention.
- Operate the chain saw only if you are in good
physical condition. If you are tired, your attention will
be reduced. Be especially careful at the end of a
working day.
Perform all work calmly and carefully. The user has
to accept liability for others.
- Never work under the influence of alcohol, drugs
or medication.
