Inspect the power cord for damage and ensure it doesn't run under the unit or over
hot or sharp surfaces.

The electrical safety of the unit is only guaranteed if it is connected to a properly
installed protective conductor system. Use of the unit without a protective conductor
is prohibited. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician. The manufacturer cannot be
made responsible for damages due to a missing or damaged protective conductor.
15.7.1 Extension cords
If an extension cord is used:
► The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the unit.
► The cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over a countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
16 Complete Overview
This chapter provides you with an overview of your vacuum sealer and explains some of
its key features.
16.1 Control Panel
1 Vacuumstrength (Vakuumstärke): Two buttons for choice of different vacuum
pressure:
"normal" button (normal): for regular items storage in normal vacuum pressure ;
"soft" button (soft): for some soft & crushable items storage where less vacuum pressure is
desired. Default setting is "normal" and high vacuum pressure.
The LED status indicator shows which setting is selected.
2 Sealing time (Lebensmittel): 2 buttons for choosing the best bag seal time
"dry" button (trocken) : for dry bags and items without moisture, with a normal heat sealing
time;
"moist" button (feucht): for wet bags or foods with moisture, with longer heat sealing time.
Default setting is for dry bags and normal sealing time.
The LED status indicator shows which setting is selected.
3 Seal (Schweißen): two functions:
To seal the open end of a bag without vacuuming air function
When the "Vacuum & Seal" function is in operation, this button Seal stops the motor pump
and immediately starts to seal the bag so that less vacuum pressure inside the bag can be
controlled by the operator to avoid crushing for delicate items.
