Removing the Battery
Please Note!
■
The device must not be connected to
the mains power while the battery is
being removed / inserted.
■
The battery must not be disassem-
bled, thrown into a fire, immersed in
liquids or short-circuited.
■
You should never open the battery!
To remove the battery from the device,
proceed as follows:
1. Turn the motor unit upside down.
2. Undo the two screws on the bottom
of the battery compartment with a
screwdriver (Picture G).

3. Use a screwdriver to press in the lock-
ing lugs which are located centrally
on both sides of the battery compart-
ment to release the cover(Picture H).
4. Remove the cover (Picture I).
5. Take out the battery pack (Picture J)
and turn it over.
6. Release three plug connections (Pic-
ture K).
7. Sever the two remaining cables with
pliers (Picture L).
8. Dispose of the battery pack in accord-
ance with the statutory regulations
governing the disposal of batteries.
