7. Emergency stop
An emergency stop switch (2x NC) can be connected to the
connections E1/E2 and E3/E4.
If it is actuated, the output relays switch off irrevocably
Enabling does not take place until the emergency stop control device
has been reset again and the voltage supply of the evaluation unit
has been briefly switched off and on again (e.g. using a pushbutton
in the supply cable).
To avoid cable short circuits which can lead to the loss of the safety
function, e.g. due to crushed cable, the cables to the emergency stop
control device must be laid so that they are protected against
damage.
If this function is not needed, the
connections E1/E2 and E3/E4 must be
linked.
A faulty connection leads to destruction
of the unit. Repair of the evaluation unit
is liable to cost.
If emergency stop has been activated, the
red LED B4 is lit.
Note
Only positive-opening emer-
gency stop control devices
according to EN 60947-5-1
may be used.
