Descaling
YourTASSIMOmachinehasanautomatic
descalingprogram.If
upwhiletheapplianceison,thedescaling
programmustberunimmediately.Ifthe
descalingprocessisnotrunasinstructed,
theappliancemaynotfunctionproperly.
You have the option of purchasing
descaling agents from your retailer or
the Bosch Customer Service Department
or www.tassimo.com (for contact
details, see page 55).
Running the descaling program

Donotdrinktheliquids.
Neverinterruptthedescalingprogram.
Never use vinegar or vinegar-based
products.
Removethewatertankfromyour
TASSIMOmachineandtaketheService
TDISCout(10).Insertitinthebrewing
unitwiththebarcodefacedown,and
closetheclampdownfi rmly.
Preparedescalingsolution(notvinegar-
based)accordingtothemanufacturer's
instructions.Ifyoucannotfi ndan
appropriatedescalingagentatvarious
retailers,itisavailablethroughTASSIMO
orBoschCustomerServiceDepartment.
Replacethewatertankcontainingthe
descalingsolutionbackonthemachine.
Removethecupstandandplacea
suitablecontainer(min.17oz/500ml
capacity)underthedrinkoutlet.
Press and hold the start /stop button
for at least 5 seconds to start the
descaling program.
