Before starting up the space heater, make sure that the category chosen for the installation is the same as the category
that was set up (paragraph 4.3).
Warning
If the gas category is not the same as the one already set up, carry out the operations described in the
paragraph "Conversion to another type of gas" before starting the heater.
You can continue and start the heater only after it has been set-up according to the instructions for the work category
to be used.
5.5. CONVERSION TO ANOTHER TYPE OF GAS
If the gas category does not correspond to what has already been set up on the space heater and what is indicated
on the adhesive label applied to the machine, perform the operations below, carefully following the sequence indicated:
1) Replace the diffuser ring. Check which type of diffuser ring is indicated for the new category required in Table I or
Table II. If it is different from the one fitted, the diffuser ring is to be replaced as follows:
a. Remove the upper shell of the heater.
b. Unscrew and remove the ionization electrode (5).
c. Unscrew the screws that attach the burner (2) to the combustion chamber (1).
d. Remove the three screws on the burner head plate (2) and change the diffuser ring (3) and then secure it so that
the ignition electrode is equidistant between two successive holes.
e. Reassemble the burner on the combustion chamber and correctly reposition the ionization electrode.
2) Calibrating the gas pressure switch. Check the gas supply pressure value indicated for the new required category
in Table I or Table II and then adjust the gas pressure switch (16) to a value that is 75% of the supply pressure.
3) Adjustment of the gas valve. Check the burner pressure value indicated in Table I or Table II for the new required
category and change the setting on the gas valve during the FIRST START phase (paragraph 4.6).
5.6. FIRST START-UP
Only once you have verified that the space heater is correctly set up for the gas category required for connection,
can you proceed with the first start-up.
First carry out the following operations once again:
• Bleed the gas supply pipe.
• Check that the gas pipe is sealed.
• Open the gas stopcock (10) and check the seal of all connections to the heater.
Warning
The gas valve group is set for a maximum supply pressure of 60 mbar.
If the supply pressure exceeds this value, the valve safety membrane may rupture and put the valve into a
permanent safety block.
Warning
Before starting the heater in heating mode, check the direction of fan rotation:
• Make sure that the two switches, A and B are in the off position (0)
• Connect the power line to the space heater
• Start only the ventilation (switch B) for a few seconds
• Check that the direction of rotation of the fan matches the direction shown on the fan itself
To check or change the gas valve setting, it will be necessary to first check that the gas supply pressure, p
gas valve inlet) and the burner pressure, p
set as indicated in Table I or II for the selected gas category.
